Upromise: A Review of Upromise.com Cash RewardsDo you want to earn some free cash?  Then consider signing up for the Upromise.com cash rewards program.  As my Upromise review below explains in more detail, this is a free program that rewards you for everyday purchases that you are already making, such as online purchases, eating out, and buying groceries.  Those rewards are in addition to your credit card cash back rewards!

Upromise Review: How It Works

Upromise.com has partnered with thousands of online stores, restaurants, grocery stores, and other organizations. Upromise receives a commission every time you make a purchase from a partner, and they share part of that money with you to be used for education expenses.

You can make money every time you buy groceries, fill up the car with gas, eat at restaurants, and do other activities that you would be doing anyway.  Your cash back can range anywhere from 1% to 25% on eligible purchases.  It is free and easy to sign up.  Once you are signed up, Upromise.com tracks your spending and calculates your rewards for you.

How Much Can You Make?

You won’t earn enough from Upromise.com to cover four years of tuition; however, many people earn hundreds and even thousands of dollars using this cash rewards program.  It only takes a few minutes to enroll and is completely free, so you will likely make more than enough to make it worth your while. You can make even more money from Upromise by adding other family members and friends to your account.  You will earn money from their purchases too.

Funds may be used for future or current college tuition, education expenses, or to pay off student loans.  You can even have your rewards deposited directly into a participating 529 plan to complement your own saving for college efforts.

Additional Upromise.com Considerations

The great thing about this program is that there really aren’t many downsides.  However, keep in mind that not all companies are partners with Upromise.com, so you likely won’t make money on every purchase you make.  However, they do have some really great ones that most people use pretty consistently.

In addition to its cash rewards program, Upromise.com also has a credit card.  Personally I think its cash rewards program is great, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend its credit card.  While it is not a bad card, there are probably better cards out there for you.

If you want to earn some free money, sign up for Upromise.com, but use a credit card that will give you higher cash back rewards, such as the Discover it™ Card.

Additionally, don’t go and spend money just so you can receive Upromise rewards.  Don’t let any cash rewards program change your spending habits–just earn additional rewards for the purchases you are already making.
